Basic Firearms Safety course - Phase One

The Code of Virginia requires that an applicant for a Virginia Concealed Handgun permit demonstrates competence with a handgun. One of the most widely accepted methods of completing this requirement is by taking a firearms safety class. This class is the first phase in your firearms training.
Our introductory course is a 5 hour classroom lecture that covers the basics of firearms safety. This class meets the state requirement to apply for your Virginia concealed handgun permit. The lecture style course is taught by one of our certified NRA firearms instructors and a student manual is provided. There will be a short written test at the completion of this class.
You will receive a certificate at the end of the class which will allow you to apply for your Virginia concealed carry permit. Once you complete this class, it is highly recommended that you move on to Phase Two of our training program.
